Arranging

Unlike most ensembles, Brass to the Future arranges and composes the majority of its own music. Not only does this approach save the group money on costly printed music, it allows their arrangements to reflect Brass to the Future's unique instrumentation and personalities. Arranging and composing music in-house grants greater creativity or, when time is limited, quicker writing.Currently, about about 88.7% of Brass to the Future's tunes are written or arranged by Tyler Cook (ASCAP) or David Low. The group performs seven original pieces ("13 Seconds to Love," "Christmas Crunch," "For Katie," "Nah...," "Neoclassical Bullcrap," "The Pop Polka," and "The Stately Overture") and a slew of imaginative arrangements, covering everything from pop standards to classical inventions to glam metal to jazz to Lady Gaga.Given advanced notice (and maybe a little sheet music), Brass to the Future can arrange just about anything, either for itself or for your ensemble. The group is also equipped to compose original and commissioned pieces. For more information, contact Tyler at the contact form here or via e-mail here.Be on the lookout in the future for samples of our arrangements and compositions on this page.
