Remarks:
In this work, copper and brass elements are carefully integrated with found wood, forming a harmonious dialogue between natural and crafted materials. The dried root, with its organic curves and hollowed cavities, strikingly resembled a mask, providing a natural framework for the creation of this tribal-inspired piece. Through the interplay of metal and wood, the sculpture evokes the mythological and spiritual power traditionally associated with tribal masks, capturing both the raw energy of nature and the symbolic authority of ritual artifacts. Each contour and metallic accent amplifies the mask’s presence, transforming a simple root into a vessel of ancestral memory and mythic storytelling.
