"The Dimensional Intrusion"
Year: 1995
Dimensions: vary
Materials: metal, motors, metronomes
Remarks: This is an installation from a solo show at the Marion Nicholl Gallery. The cylinders have mechanisms inside them that drop a weight onto the floor at a slow and steady rate. There are two metronomes on shelves on opposing sides of the gallery space playing at opposing frequencies. This is a study of the rhythms that form in chaotic noise.
