Amway Project
The Hazard Code system had been used for more than 20 years in Amway. All chemicals, including raw materials, basic products, and finished products in Amway have their hazard code assigned by ABG EHS. It tells the reactivity, inhalation and contact hazard to operators, such as employees in manufacturing and warehouse. This project updated the Hazard Codes systems to align with Globally Harmonized Systems of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) GHS is a standard issued by the United Nations to provide guidelines for all countries to control chemical hazards and protect human and environmental health. This change was to assure compliance with the new standard.
