Chicago Housing Authority Projects
The CHASYSTEMS@WORK are three Internet-based applications: The Relocation Management Tracking System (RMTS), Bedroom Sizing Module (BRS) and the Housing Offer Process (HOP) which won two awards, the Richard Driehaus E-Government Public Innovator Award and the Excellence in Information Integrity Awards. These systems were developed to administer the Chicago Housing Authority’s relocation program to fill 25,000 units with residents as part of the "Plan for Transformation".
Key Responsibilities:
Relocation Management Tracking System (RMTS)
RMTS is a web-based Oracle software module used to manage the move-out process of the residents that are part of the "Plan for Transformation." The module houses and manages the residents housing choice selection information and resident notification and distribution.
Bedroom Sizing Module (BRS)
The Bedroom sizing software application is a web-based Oracle software module that calculates the appropriate number of bedrooms to be issued to CHA leaseholders as well as validates that families are assigned the correct number of bedrooms. It also allows CHA staff to forecast the number of units that need to be rebuilt based on policies, ordinances and other applicable statutes and regulations.
Housing Offer Process
The application will manage the move-in process of the residents by managing a list of prospective residents for each of the newly developed or rehabilitated housing developments to ensure that each resident gets a fair chance at their permanent housing choice preference. The application automates the various notices and legal document sent to residents and also manage the development schedule to ensure accurate move-in dates for the residents.
