Maryland might decide to do a huge sting that will be simultaneous to give the message that prostitution is not tolerated in the state of Maryland. Why this will happen, look at recent attempt out john stings in twitter. It could be coordinated with DC and Northern Virginia as DMV crackdown on johns. Something to make a big press release like the famous busts (where 90 to 100 people get busted) of Polk county Florida and other big busts in Florida and Arizona.

[High Alert] Fairfax county continues to Christmas season crackdown. Fairfax county police busted 4 johns on 12/29/2014, and 14 johns on 12/30/2014.
This makes a total of 38 prostitution busts for the 2nd half of December 2014 for johns alone.
