Road District Updates

Vacancy on Road Board: Bob Wentz has announced he will not ask for reappointment to the Bear Valley Special Road District board when his current term expires on 12/31/2012. This will create a vacancy on the 3-person board effective January 1, 2013. If you are interested in helping out the remaining 2 board members, Jed Haft and Norma Washburn, you can download an application at this link: Road App They could really use an additional member to help and to avoid tie votes. Upcoming Maintenance Work: Also noted in the November minutes of the Road Board, the Board awarded a contract to George Haft Excavating (dollar amount not disclosed) for some undescribed work to be done. In a subsequent conversation, Jed Haft kindly provided some additional information -- the work will include culvert and ditch improvement, which has begun with the new culvert at the Washburn residence. No information available yet as to what areas are planned for further work or what the timetable is. Winter weather is hampering efforts.
