mmissioners Bob Wentz and Norma Jean Washburn attended along with a few members of the community. Minutes for the 2/14/12 meeting were approved after deleting the paragraph about requiring written requests for documents since that discussion did not actually take place at the Feb 14 meeting. The Treasurer reported that the Grange Hall rent has been paid for Jan through June, leaving a checking balance of $8863.97. The Board continues to try to get bids for work on the road. Washburn indicated she was seeking some possible funding for alternative road surfacing. Wentz reported that Crop Production Services committed to him the same pricing as last year on Lignin Sulfonate for dust control, which ran $2731 last year at 95 cents per gallon.Washburn reported that Justin Evans had not resigned from the board, but was on a "Leave of Absence." Evans again reiterated emphatically today that he resigned from the board in February effective immediately with a letter of resignation to the Lincoln County Board Of Commissioners and is not on a "leave of absence." Member George Haft suggested we continue to use good hard rock on the road surface at a good price. He also expressed concerns over the new wood fence being constructed at the curve that appears to be encroaching on the road right-of-way and causing unsafe conditions for navigating the curve. Washburn indicated she would contact Jim Buisman at Lincoln County to ask that they look at the situation.
