Archery This skill is used to fire string-loaded projectile weapons. An archer is familiar with many different styles of bow and the multitude of arrows that can be used to maximum effect. This skill include Bow, Crossbow, Non-Standard Ammunition, Slingshot
Athleticism It is about moving fast, maneuvering over/under/ around/through obstacles. This skill measures your balance and general athleticism. It is a way of conditioning the body to overcome obstacles with speed, efficiency, and agility, by adapting one’s movements to the environment. Character uses their surroundings to their advantage, and is able to identify and utilize alternate or more efficient paths, which lends itself to avoiding damage or makes them harder to catch. Use Athleticism whenever you need to overcome an obstacle via movement, such as hurdling a railing, rolling across the hood of a car, jumping across a pit, or swinging around a pole. This skill includes Balance, Dodging, Parkour/Free-Running, Rolling, Vaulting, Swinging, Gymnastics, Climbing, and Jumping.
Blades This skill covers the usage and maintenance of standard bladed weapons. A player uses their Blades skill whenever attacking with a blade weapon in melee combat. This does not cover repairing or modifying the weapon. This skill is used for blade weapons implanted in the body at the end of an appendage (hands, forearms, feet, etc.). This skill covers the use of Axes, Implant Blades, Knives, Swords
Clubs This skill governs the use of all hand-held bludgeoning instruments. With this skill you can turn any blunt item, be it a baseball bat, crutch, or mace, into a weapon. This skill includes Batons, Hammers, Saps, Staves.
Demolitions This skill is used to prepare, plant, detonate, and often defuse chemical-based explosives. One also has the ability to modify, alter, or reuse a device that they have previously defused if it’s not damaged beyond repair. This skill include Commercial Explosives, Defusing, Improvised Explosives, Plastic Explosives
Guns This skill is for firing a firearm. This also includes all projectile weaponry that is not classified as heavy weapons. This covers a coherent beam energy weapons such as lasers, particle beam weapons, plasma weapons, and microwave weapons. This does not involve repairing or modifying the weapon as that is covered in a different skill. Hand Gun Examples are: Pistols, Holdouts, Revolvers, Semi-Automatics, Tasers. Longarm Examples are: Extended-Range Shots, Long-Range Shots, Shotguns, Sniper Rifles.
Heavy Weapons The term heavy weapon is designated for all projectile weaponry larger than an assault rifle, such as grenade launchers, machine guns, and assault cannons. This skill is exclusive to handheld and non-vehicle-mounted weaponry—if you’ve got a gun mounted on or in a vehicle, use Gunnery skill. This skills includes coherent beam energy weapons such as lasers, particle beam weapons, plasma weapons, and microwave weapons of this class. This does not include repairing or modifying the weapon as that is covered in a different skill. Examples are: Assault Cannons, Grenade Launchers, Guided Missiles, Machine Guns, Rocket Launchers
Throwing Weapons This skill covers the use and maintenance of standard throwing weapons, like Grenades. You use the Throwing Weapons skill whenever you are attacking with a throwing weapon in ranged combat This skill includes Grenades, Knives, Rocks, Throwing Axes.
Two-Hand Fighting (skilled only) Your left hook is as good as your right roundhouse. You’ve trained to aim, swing, and hit with your offhand. You do not suffer a penalty for an off-hand attack, but you do accumulate the usual multiple action penalties. If wielding two weapons this gives the character an extra attack. This attack is negated if enough damage is done to render the character’s hand or arm nearly inoperable.
Unarmed Combat You are a good person to have around in a bar fight. You might have a bunch of fancy moves or you might just slog ahead until the other guy throws in the towel. However you do it, you are good with your fists, elbows, knees, feet, or any other body part that might deal damage. This skill pertains to brawling, boxing, martial arts, or even a mixture of styles.
