Completing a CAS activity with a meaningful reflection is the most critical aspect of that opportunity. The reflection itself is what helps you grow most, because it brings out the experiences you had and helps you to understand the bigger picture and its importance. A few serious, invested reflections will do more for your growth than will many short reflections that act more to summarize an activity than to analyze what was learned.
CAS reflections can be a challenge at times, and the presentation below provides guidance on how to collate your thoughts into a concise, significant reflection that aptly describes all that you learned. Reflections should eventually end up on Managebac where supervisors and coordinators can view your progress. Here are instructions on the use of Managebac for reflections.Â
Also there are many ways of reflecting, not all of which are in written format. Check out this document for Creative Reflection Ideas.
