Drawings by Janet
Jan continues to draw from the live model at our sessions here at the studio. While her forays into painting are sporadic, her time is spent working with George on new ceramic pieces, doing the carved lettering and designs in the new works.
Much of Janet's drawing is done in "charcoal lift", conte and prismacolor pencils. In charcoal lift, the paper is covered with a tone in vine charcoal and highlights in the drawing "lifted" with an eraser after using a darker charcoal to deepen the tones.
