The High Sierra - California's Sierra Nevada Mountains

California's Sierra Nevada Mountain Range contains Mount Whitney 14,505 ft (4,421 m). The highest mountain in the lower 48 US states.  It also contains  Yosemite, Sequoia, Kings Canyon National Parks and many wilderness areas.

I have some web blog guides to California's High Sierras:

In wilderness areas outside the National Parks you may bring dogs.  Check out our video of our backpacking adventure with our dog up Rock Creek Canyon.

I love the High Sierra - I'll be adding more information here later.
