California to Canada

California to and thru Canada road trips.

I have traveled from California to and thru Canada two different times.

On one trip I started up Highway 395 following the route on this map link I stopped for a beautiful Kayak in Mono Lake along the way and disperse camped most of the trip. I passed through Bend Oregon where I went kayaking on the Deschutes River - I paddled up river and then floated back down and rescued some kids who were tubing. I went through the Northern Cascades National park where I did some Kayaking and Hiked to Cascade Pass with my fiddle. I picked up my other family members in Washington and they joined me camping and exploring. We went to Olympic National Park and Mount Rainer National Park. We then went into Canada enjoying the whistler area and climbing the Chief. Then we headed up the Sunshine coast taking ferries, camping, and kayaking.

Here is a California Thru Canada picture tour with descriptions.

On another trip I went up the interstate 15 stopping to do the Narrows in Zion along the way and stopping many other additional places including the Canadian Rockies National Parks - Banff National Park, Lake Louise, Jasper National Park, Yoho National Park, Kootenay National Park. On this trip I also went to the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park in Canada, Glacier National Park in the US. Also went to Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. I made a TV special for Amazon.com of Glacier National Park and I have a Glacier National park website
