I am currently a Lecturer and educational researcher at the University of Tennessee. I direct our Master of Mathematics distance education (online) program for math educators. In addition, I am an elected Faculty Senator and member of the Dean’s Lecturer Advisory Council. I am broadly interested in projects which bridge mathematics, research, the practice of teaching, and building community. I actively seek connections between different disciplines, academic units, and institutions. Prior to moving to Knoxville, I worked as an Assistant Professor at Coastal Carolina University, a public liberal arts school in South Carolina. Before that, I received my Ph.D. from Colorado State University, where I worked with Dr. Rachel Pries.
