Agricultural activities dominate the landscapes of much of the earth where soil and climate permit the production of food. Farm landscapes offer rich insight in to a variety of cultural beliefs and practices, as well as clues to local environmental conditions, an economic and political priorities.
Intimately and recursively linked to the landscapes of agriculture are a myriad of national, local and regional foodway. What we eat is both a product of what we grow, but what we grow is partly determined by our taste preferences at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
