Hello family near and far,
This year's cabin calendar is going to be a little different than it has been in years past. I am going to be stepping up to help my parents with a lot of the cabin coordination and responsibilities as they are needing a little extra assistance these days. With that said, requesting time up at the cabin will look a little different moving forward. For time you would like at the cabin, please send me an email and cc my mom. We will review the requests and will let you know if those weeks are available.
Cabin Week Request Terms:
Requests can be submitted beginning March 1st of that calendar year. Requests will only be considered for the current year, not future years.
My mom and I will review and respond with availability.
If the cabin week is available and you would like to secure that week for your family, a daily fee of $100 will be assessed. An additional cost of $200 will also be added to cover the expense of hiring a cleaning person.The total weekly cost for a week at the cabin will be $900.
The first day of your stay you may arrive after 2:00 pm and the last day of your stay you may have access to the cabin for the full day. This is subject to change if your stay is not standard week (Monday – Sunday).
Payment will need to be made in full 1 month prior to your stay at the cabin. No cancellations allowed within the 1 month leading up to your reserved time at the cabin.
If payment is not received in full before the payment deadline, you will forfeit your week at the cabin.
Partial weeks will not be considered. A full week's payment will be assessed even if the cabin will only be used for part of that reserved week.
As stewards of this special place, you will still be expected to leave the cabin better than you found it in a tidy condition ready for the next family that will be using it the following week.
· Take all unused food home (including condiments)
· Empty the trash cans and deposit the bags in the dumpster provided by the tract
· Bring your own towels and bed linens
· Take all personal belongings home
Additionally, you will no longer need to contribute to the annual fees to support improvements or cabin related expenses throughout the year. I will be sharing the annual expense and maintenance of the cabin with my parents.
Lastly, we have been working with Diane to create a new cabin calendar. It is a google calendar called “The Alders Cabin Calendar”. A separate email invitation will be emailed to everyone to join this new calendar. Moving forward for the next calendar year Labhard and Fiddyment weeks will not be swapped with the other family. I realize coordinating schedules can be complicated, but swapping time and rearranging the cabin calendar with the Fiddyment side is just as complicated to ensure that everything is fair and equitable.
