The meeting of the Cabin families was on Monday, May 14 at Duane's home.
Duane wrote to Charlene on May 14 before the actual meeting:
Charlene,
Would you add a date field to the check list page. We should know when a task is finished, not just that it was done.
Thanks,
Duane
Charlene responded on May 14:
Accomplished!
I hope you had a good meeting; I am so sorry I couldn't listen in. I look forward to hearing from you about it.
Love,
Charlene

Hi Everyone,
We had a great meeting. Diane will e-mail the minutes to everyone soon.
One thing we discussed and I agreed to pass on to everyone was something about the cabin scheduling.
Duane and I agreed; it would be nice to share (by e-mail or a phone call) when you are unable to make it to the cabin for the entire week scheduled.
In other words, if you are planning on going up to the cabin but can't make it up on the scheduled Monday, please let the rest of us know, there might be someone else that would like to use the cabin for those few days not used. That extra Monday would make it nice when cleaning the cabin and not having to battle the weekend traffic home.
The summer is short and every day that the cabin isn't used is a day missed out on enjoying the beauty of the mountains.
Thanks,
Camela and Duane

John,
Did you see this message, and have you sent the extra funds to Kay? I want to know when we decided that the well pump was about to fail. Any thoughts?

Subject: Spring Meeting
The Spring Meeting will take place Sunday, May 27 at 11 a.m. at Lot 18 – The Quinn Cabin.
Annual dues are due. It was voted unanimously to pay $250 each cabin this year in order to have funds available in case of a well problem. That is the usual $100 and the $150 refund that we all received from PG&E last year. Please bring your check to the meeting or mail it to Alder Creek Homeowners, c/o Massone, 1791 Woodside Ct., Concord, CA 94519.
The bear-proof dumpster has been delivered.
It’s election time again.
See you on the 27th.
Bob & Kay Massone

I'm guessing it was at the 2011 labor day meeting. I don't remember seeing the notes from that meeting, but Kay's last email seems to say that.

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted you all to know that Dave and his friend Ken spent the day working on the cabin oven. It turns out the problem was the pilot light was set too low, so it was not able to generate enough heat to activate the safety switch to allow the gas to flow properly. The majority of their time was spent calibrating the oven to assure the oven temperature matched the temperature on the dial.
As of now, we have a working oven, ready to be used this summer. Please note, we will be putting together as requested, an operational manual with pictures.
The screens are all on, most of the windows are washed, the cap rail in the kitchen has been attached (except next to the stove) and the cob webs and mouse droppings have been removed.
We spoke with Bob Massone about their propane, he said he receives delivery about every two years.
I will go to Costco to pick up the paper products. We are short on paper towels, paper plates, garbage bags and TP.
Can someone tell me about the septic pump switch, is up on or is up off? There seems to be some confusion that goes back many years. The answer will be put into the cabin book so we will always get it right.
Dave and I will be returning next weekend with our guests and we will attend the cabin owners meeting.
Happy Summer...
Thanks, Camela
Duane responded:
Good report Cam, and thanks Dave and Ken.
The sump pump switch is on in the up position.
Who received the $150 PG&E rebate that Kay spoke about in her May 16th email?
Duane
Diane responded to Camela:
Dear Cam,
WOW! Thanks so much for getting us off to a great start to the summer. You guys accomplished a lot.
I have the new round table being sent to you on Lupine Way, so it should get to you in time for next weekend. I also have the replacement for the picnic table and will bring that up on my first visit.
Are you going to submit a bill for paper goods from Costco? I think this is a good idea since we all use these things each year (see email thread below), but I got a lot of push back when I suggested it before. If you do, I’ll resubmit my bill. If not we can try to remember who took care of it last and try to take turns with that somewhat significant expense.

Charlene responded to Camela:
Dear Camela and all
Thank you so much for a good report on your activities at the cabin. I will put it onto the website as a record. The window washing is always an important and not-so-easy job because there are so many small windows. Thank you Camela!
I am glad that the oven is in order. Thank you for that job well done Dave. When you have drawn up the instructions for the use of stove, I can put those onto the site as well.
Yes, the pump switch works the same way as a light switch.
Now I will be looking forward to hearing the report about your meeting.
Enjoy your stays at the cabin and take a swim for me!
Love
Charlene
