Work Day April 1, 2017
Mark McClure, Beth McClure Thomas, Bryan, Camela & Dave, Charlene & John met at 9 a.m. Mark was there by 7 a.m. raking and preparing for the jobs to be done.
Lake John in January 2017 during the big melt.
We were so grateful that the Breuer/McDuffee Bridge remained undamaged from the high water.
Alder Creek flowed right through our yard and damaged the septic, its wiring, the water pipes, two of the supports for the gangway to the front porch, and washed out the pathway around the corner of the cabin.
The roaring creek and river moved lots of boulders.
John, Mark and Bryan working on the septic.
Camela, Charlene and Beth raked and removed lots of pine needles and leaves. Mark dumped them up the hill. Charlene moved lots of branches to the woodpile area for cutting up later on.
Mark, framing in the septic. Camela and Dave made a run to the store to get a few supplies and some sandwiches.
Covering things up, both the pipes and the tank. The guys moved loads and loads of dirt and rocks. The weather was perfect for this kind of work.
The river and creek on April 1. No fooling! Beth had never seen the river that high.
We purchased a chest of drawers to replace the mouse-ridden one in the downstairs bedroom. Charlene found and removed a mouse nest in the bathroom cupboard.
It's too bad Mark and Beth had left before we thought of taking a worker selfie.
