Our laboratory's research themes are the creation of a better relationship between people and nature and the realization of a management-based sustainable space. We aim to be creative and contribute to society by going back and forth between research and practice.

Thank you for your interest in landscape management research, which is the theme of my laboratory. This research is a new field in Japan and is considered an indispensable knowledge for the realization of a sustainable region.

In our laboratory, we are engaged in diverse research and practice in cooperation with local governments and experts. You can understand the outline just by looking at the photos on the homepage. You can receive research guidance from the professor carefully in the laboratory.

I would like to accept diverse students from all over the world. However, there are many applicants in my laboratory every year, and unfortunately I cannot fulfill everyone's wishes.

Students who want to join my lab are expected to have a high level of English and communication skills, a willingness to study and a clear research purpose. If you enter my laboratory, you will be actively asked to submit academic papers.

If you are strongly want to learn about landscape management, please submit a research plan to Associate Professor Akita. Students who wish to join my laboratory should have a TOEIC score of 800 or higher (if you have N1 score of Japanese language test, it is acceptable of 750 or higher) and a GPA of 3.5 or higher (specialized subjects).Students with scholarships are more likely to enter our lab.
