Information contained here is from the 2001 Aircore manual/cookbook. In this edition they merged the two together. But the page numbers remained different hence when you got to the cookbook section, it was page 1 again even though it was in the middle of the book.
The 2001 edition has a lot more information and recipes than the 90's version. It was released by Salton at that time, and they put a lot more into the book and the cookware itself than the original release.

Self-Cooking with Aircore
1. For most recipes, place food you wish to cook in an aircore Self-Cooker.
2. When bringing to a boil over medium-high heat, first; cover with the Look'n'Cook Glass lid ONLY. You can see when a rolling boil is reached.
3. The Double-Wall Stainless Steel construction is so efficient, there is never a need to use high heat.
NOTE: to prevent burning food or causing damage to your Self-Cookers, always use LOW to Medium-high heat. Because vary in temperatures you may need to adjust the temperature to prevent burning.
4. After the Food comes to a rolling boil, reduce the heat to a simmer. Immediately place the Themoseal lid over the glass lid.
5. If a BOIL is not first recommended in your recipe: simply cover with the look'n' cook glass lid and add the Themalseal Steel lid over the Look'n'cook glass id and continue cooking.
NOTE: each recipe offers detailed cooking directions for your use. Some recipeuse the ThemalSeal steel lid's temperature indicator, others use time, or a combination of the two.
6. As the Food heats on the burner, the temperature indicator on the AutoCook ThemoKnob moves through the heating zones. Cook until the AutoCook ThemoKnob temperature Indicator Needle reaches Yellow/low Mid-green/Medium or mid-red/ HIGH as indicated in the recipe/cooking guide.
7. Following t he Recipe or Cooking Guide. Allow Food to remain cooking for the time specified. DO NOT lift the lids or stir the food.
8. Remove the Self-Cooker from the heat and let the food self-cook without lifting or removing the lids. The Temperature indicator may continue to advance past the RED heating zone while cooking. This is normal. Follow the Recipe/Cooking Guide Directions
(Side NOTE, it is recommended to put the self-cooker in one of the insulated caddies it came with or something similar once removed from the heat. These pots work best that way. While the pots are insulated, they work FAR FAR better in a caddy once in 'self cooking' mode or something similar. A simple cloth bag with batting for insulation will also work well. There are several places around the internet with designs of such a bag for these pots.)
Please NOTE: The USDA recommends that ground turkey and chicken be cooked to an internal temperature of 165F and ground beef, veal, lamb, and pork be cooked to an internal temperature of 160F. Meats such as beef and lamb, etc, should be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 145F. Pork should be cooked to an internal temperature of at least 160F and poultry products should be cooked to an internal temperature of 170-180F to e sure any harmful bacteria has been killed. When re-heating meat/poultry products, they should also be cooked to an internal temperature of 165F.
CAUTION: Proper care must be taken with hot cook cookware. Be careful not to com into contact with hot Self-Cookers for fry pans, lids and accessories. Use protective mits or gloves to move hot Self-Cookers. When opening Self-Cooker or fry pan, use special caution. Escaping steam is hot and cause burns.
WARNING: All Aircore Self-Cookers and Fry Pans remain very hot while cooking. It is best to move Cookers or Pants to a heat-resistant trivet or a Cool burner after the stove has been turned off. Do not place the Self-Cooker directly on the countertop, tabletop, or non heat-resistant surface.
