At Finse we are going to work with several different forms of snow art. What we are able to do will depend on the weather conditions, but hopefully we will be able to work both small scale (ice sculptures, snowlights etc) and large scale (large patterns in the snow)
We can work with shaping snow and ice, introduce colours, and make objects that utilise the transparency of snow and ice.

We can also experiment with the twin to crop circles, snow circles.
We should try to keep things simple: make a plan for how a few geometric form can be added together, draw it in paper and transfer it to the snow outside. We are going to use ropes to measure and set out the distances. These are just examples:
Some very ambitious works – as examples for inpiration:
This shows the work of British artist Simon Beck at Summit Powder Mountain. Beck's tools are snowshoes and a compass — and his canvas is a quarter-mile wide. Beck has created nearly 200 works in snowfields around the world.
