In question 6 you made a list of things that are barriers, or things that might stand in the way of your goal. In this question, question 7, the idea is to find ways to overcome these barriers.
Your plan for overcoming a barrier should be a simple thing that you can do. It should also be something that you can believe you will do. For example, if the barrier I'm trying to overcome is remembering to take my meds, "just do it" or "just remember" would not be good plans because if I could do that I would already be taking my meds. A better plan would be to keep a day's worth of meds in my backpack in case I forget, to put my meds in my cereal bowl or on top of my bag before I go to bed at night, or to set a reminder on my phone or Chromebook. The best plan for me might be to do a couple of these things. If my barrier is reading tests, or that tests take me a long time my plan might be to tell my RAM teacher that I have a test as soon as the teacher tells us about it so someone is around to read my test out loud.
Now it's your turn to come up with your plan to overcome your barriers. Open your SDLMI Goal Page in Google Classroom. Under question 7 write down a plan for how to overcome each barrier listed in question 6. Remember, your plans should be simple things that you can reasonably be expected to do to help yourself. You should write down a plan for each barrier listed in question 6 (at least three).
