In the last two modules we looked at things that you might want to learn, or to learn more about. We also looked at what you already know about your goal. Today, we want to look at things that actually need to happen for you to accomplish your goal.
Some of us might need to learn new things to accomplish our goals. For example, if you have a goal of passing Algebra, you may need to learn how to factor polynomials. Another example of learning something new might be learning how to use Read&Write to have things that you write read back to you.
Some of us might need to make some changes to accomplish our goal. For example, if your goal is to pass driver's ed, but driving is still hard or stressful, you might set aside some time after dinner to practice driving every day. Another example of making a change might be to make sure that you're in class on time every day to get the participation points in a class instead of taking an extra trip to your locker to meet your friends between classes.
The first thing we need to do is to come up with a couple of things that you either need to learn or might need to change to accomplish your goal. Sometimes, it's hard to come up with ideas, so you might partner up with a friend to help or talk to your teacher to get some ideas.
Under Question 3 " What must change for me to learn what I don’t know?" in your Google Doc, write down at least two (2) things that you either might want to learn or need to change to accomplish your goal. You can pause the video to give yourself time to think and write.
Finally, choose one of the things that you wrote down to be the first, or most important thing that you need to learn or change to accomplish your goal. Make this bold under question 3, "What must change for me to learn what I don’t know?".
