Like its neighbors to the north, Dalosia is a land of many tales of both tragedy and triumph. It's history is clouded and mired by long periods of war followed by short reprieves of peace. It is home to tales of mighty heroes and villains, monsters and magic.
The few surviving written records prior to the rule of Reuss lords talked of five powerful families that ruled the land: Revent, von Harrow, Aedelfeldt, Schoen, and Marck. A cold war had fallen over the country, with rough borders drawn over the areas that these families laid claim. The fiercest of fighting has died down with the winter and in the darkest of winter, of new challenger to the region approached. At the height of the moon on the winter solstice, the Goddess chose a champion to unite the country under a single banner. This was the first of the Reuss line, Gayle Reuss. The Reuss champion was bestowed with the power of the Goddess become flesh, surpassing in strength even the mightiest heroes across the land.
This Reuss champion managed to unite three of the great families (Revent, von Harrow, and Aedelfeldt) under the Reuss banner and claimed the entirety of the land now called Dalosia, forcing the other nobles into submission. The Reuss family was charged with the protection and governance of the land by the nobles, the common, and the Goddess.
After the assassination of King Uhtred Reuss and the destruction of the royal palace in Berlos by a collective of mages, the country began the wanton slaughter of mages, accomplices of mages, and those suspected of practicing. Long respected institutions of both learning and magic were put to the torch, sending Dalosia backwards in many ways for years to come. This led to the flight of mages to the nation of Altera, which would later become Aurora. Over the course of a few months, mages became almost unheard of across the country. The hunts and killings, however, would never stop.
With the purges, so to did the death of the Goddess follow. The Church of the Triple Goddess fell into decay, its chambers empty of both followers and guidance from the Trinity. The people of Dalosia were abandoned in every sense, and the country erupted into war.
The country is divided into eight regions which are controlled by the major cities of the country. Each region is ruled by one of the noble families that control the fate of the country.

The Revent family stretches back into the deepest annals of Dalosian history. Throughout the ages, they have remained one of the strongest families across time as a result of wealth, the seat of Bebbenberg, and the unwavering loyalty of the region. Their line has been one of complete fealty to the Reuss line. With the death of that kingly line, so too did the seat of Revent fade. The divided state of the country led to the isolation of the house from the others. The line of Revent has lost favor with the ruling family Aedelfeldt, leading to decreased status of nobility within the court. The current head of the family, Orl Marko Revent, does all he can to keep the honor of the line of Revent intact.
While not as ancient as some of the other noble Dalosian families, the line of Isen was born of the order brought by the Reuss conquest. The father of the line of Isen, Agate Isen, was one of the most loyal fighters to Gayle Reuss, fighting and supporting the cause until there was complete victory. For their loyalty, they were awarded the power and status of nobles, becoming the stewards of the once abandoned capital of Berlos. They are the entrusted keepers of the Spire Dalosia and man the Dalosian Air Fleet. They are sworn to neutrality in all Dalosian affairs.
