Discuss the ideal living conditions relative to the plants in the landscape.
Strategy
- Students should imagine the "ideal home environment." With that image firmly in mind, what plants do you see inside the house and when you look through the windows at the outside landscape.
- Pairs of students describe why the plants are important, including their influence on things that are not plants (e.g., climate).
- Students then figure out where the various plants have come from.
