Lostock Quay

Lostock Quay is a fictional 3mm railway serving a run down quay, a small oil depot and a loading plant. It started life as a 40 x 1 layout built for the 3mm Society’s 40th Anniversary and has been extended since then to make an end to end layout,

It is 15ft long and 18inches deep, 3mm scale and 12mm gauge track. The points, which will be replaced eventually, are operated by wire in tube. Trains run from fiddle yards at each end .

Built by Terry Tracey and sold on to Chris Heaps, the layout now lives in Chris's loft. Chris says he still gets a thrill out of running his 50 year old Triang, Bec and Gem locos.
