Results of 2060 Combat Round#2

Post date: Mar 12, 2020 3:41:25 AM

Your Referee is back from travelling for a brief while and concludes ...that nothing happened, there is no combat for Round#2. There being no combat for Round #2, the Referee decrees that we will not have another Combat Round unless a faction goes to a notable effort. So this is your official warning of the end of the 2060 Turn is coming. Players will have until March 27th, 2020 12:00 UTC if you want to issue any last orders for the 2060 Turn. This is more time than I would have wanted to give, but I expect to be on the move again shortly and have limited internet connectivity for most of the time to answer your questions.

I have started updating the Rules_proposal file with a series of fixes needed to the game. I would like to have waited until we had an actual test of the detailed combat rules, but it does not look like that is going to happen soon (....maybe) and there are a number of faults and loopholes that really need to be smoothed over. As always, the changes are in green font and are summarized in section 11.1. The biggest change will be that while a summary of Political Actions will be published as usual, the resolution of most Political Actions will not usually be released & a results summary published, until the end of the Turn. This change will give all Players a chance to role-play to their own and everyone else's actions and influence what happens.

I have already started to see players slipping on filling in the Action ID column in the Unit_Listing and in their Follow-up orders thread on RPOL. Filling in that is required for a good reason, there are too many units doing too many things spread across too many pages; a meaningful understanding of what is happening in the game quickly becomes impossible without it. I will not allow Action ID to fall into disuse! Assign units Action IDs and detail what those actions are in your Follow-up threads or else your military units will not be allowed to do anything!

And no matter what they tell you, I had nothing to do with the whole COVID-19 thing,
