The Great Unrest in Turkey, Iran, Kurdistan and Syria United States and European military forces, now operating under NATO command and control, deployed in 2027 to bases throughout Turkey and Cyprus at the request of TDH\CHP’s ‘interim government’. NATO Secretary General Philippe Errera stated the purpose of the rapid deployment was to “assist its NATO ally with dealing with the extensive humanitarian crisis, augment Turkey’s air defense capability, and to help meet the goal to achieve a peaceful settlement over the Kurdistan region.” The Secretary General’s recognition of a ‘Kurdistan region’ caused a stir in diplomatic circles but this was quickly overshadowed by leaks that indicated ongoing high level talks among the NATO allies were moving toward imposing a No-Fly Zone over primarily Kurdish inhabited regions primarily within Syria and Iran without a UNSC resolution as well as in the face of strong Chinese protests and internal political opposition.
NATO leaders refused to comment on the leaks but within a week U.S. President Warren announced that the “United States will honor its commitments to its NATO ally [Turkey] and we cannot successfully accomplish the mission if we ignore the cause of the humanitarian crisis.” While the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee did vote and approve President Warren’s extensive military deployment, broader congressional debate and authorization has been deadlocked. The Commander-in-Chief proceeded ahead without congressional approval, citing the NATO led operation did not violate the War Powers Resolution citing Article V and XI of the ratified NATO treaty. The United States’ NATO European counterparts combined their contribution via a strengthened European Union forces agreement with NATO, avoiding deeply contentious domestic political fights entirely.
Adding a further complication is the controversial NATO action is the legitimacy of Turkish government. While the interim government has recalled all of the AKP appointed ambassadors and large segments of Turkey’s Foreign Service, several embassies resisted recall efforts in dramatic fashion. At the request of the TDH\CHP’s Turkish government (after removing the status of their resident missions) several nations have had to take the extreme steps of declaring the embassies in total persona non grata and forcibly deporting the former mission’s entire staff in some cases. Several AKP ‘legitimate Turkish government’ embassies remain open with the financial aid of Turkish charities (notably IHH and those of the extensive Gülen movement). In some cases, the host government has permitted both AKP and TDH\CHP diplomatic missions to operate (such as in Saudi Arabia), but primarily throughout the Middle East and China only the AKP missions are recognized, while within NATO aligned states the reverse holds true. Highlighting the chaos was a bloody brawl between opposing Turkish representatives on the floor of the UN General Assembly.
Tensions steadily increased throughout January and February, reaching a fever pitch as NATO forces and supporting countries such as Saudi Arabia moved ahead with plans to impose No-Fly Zones over Kurdish regions (primarily over Iran). Hostility between Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran hit an all-time high as Iranian involvement in a terrorist plot to detonate simultaneous suicide bombs during the Hajj on February 10th was uncovered and prevented by Saudi security forces (Pilgrim RFID tags are largely credited with identifying and tracking the agents and bombers). Iran denied complicity citing the involvement of several Saudi nationals in the plot and called evidence gathered by the Kingdom’s General Intelligence Presidency (GIP) “a complete false flag operation manufactured to justify the arrest of internal enemies opposed to the illegitimate rule of the Aal-e-Saud (descendants of Saud) and a typical of the heavy-handed tactics employed by the insecure tyranny to legitimize acting as a Western puppet.”
As the March 1st deadline approached for the commencement of NATO NFZ operations, Russian President Vladimir Lukasheno helped broker an 11th hour deal under the threat of that NATO and PLA forces would soon be engaged in an air war over the skies of Iran if not igniting a larger conflict. Chinese General Secretary Hu Chunhua, in a joint appearance with President Lukashen and Secretary General Errera, announced the PLA would work with Russian and other forces for “the appropriate resolution of this issue to protect the civilian population within Iran from terrorist forces. China is committed to friendly consultation to resolve such problems.” NATO adjusted NFZ enforcement to cover the primarily Kurdish regions along Iran’s western border while Russian forces would oversee Khorasan Province in northeastern Iran as well as coordinate as needed over Syrian airspace.

Just before the NATO NoFlyZone is about to be imposed, the Supreme Iranian leader broadcasts on all channels the following message:
"This so called 'No Fly Zone for the protection of civilians' is obviously nothing but a blatant conquest by Western imperialist forces to bring the flames of unholy Zionism to our lands. They come here not to help us or save us but corrupt us and I call upon all Iranians to resist in the name of Almighty Allah to your uttermost. Poison the wells! Burn the land! Release infected rats into their camp! Put to the sword all those who would cooperate with the enemies of Allah and Iran. They may kill us, but they will never be allowed to break us. Show these would be conquerors that all their efforts will yield ashes not apostates. I call upon our brothers, the Chinese, to aid us in this fight for survival. For years now it has been whispered that you are a Great Power. Well now the eyes of history are upon you. Will you stand now and be counted as a Great Power?!
Fight now! Allah will favor the righteous!"

Yes Sasha, we have been witness to some extraordinary events here in the Persian Gulf. With one of our camera balloons you can see the footage we took just a few minutes ago. Here a group of Chinese ships and planes rapidly approach the main British and American forces. A squadron of British jet fighters and corvettes race ahead to block the oncoming Chinese. The Chinese guns swivel and…
fire.
------------------------------------------------------------
This is the BBC with a special announcement - we now go to 10 Downing Street for an announcement by the Prime Minister.
....
I am speaking to you from the cabinet room at 10 Downing Street. Earlier this morning Chinese and Iranian forces in the Persian Gulf began moving towards the British and American forces in Saudi Territorial waters participating in the international No Fly Zone over the Kurdish region of the middle east.
Given that Iranian and Chinese forces had been reported as violating the No Fly Zone currently in force the senior task force officer, Vice Admiral Richard Charkabrati, took the decision to dispatch a flight of Harriers from HMS Invincible along with several light ships into the path of the Iranian and Chinese forces as they crossed into Saudi Territorial waters. This was done to warn away Chinese and Iranian forces moving as if to threaten his command, and both I and the government support his decision completely. The forward British forces were then fired upon by the Iranians and Chinese.
Following this action no UK forces or NATO forces were reported to have been damaged significantly, though in response our forces seriously damaged a Chinese destroyer.
This minor action did not dissuade the Chinese and Iranian forces from closing with the NATO task force.
As I speak to you our forces, alongside our allies, are engaged in a struggle against Chinese and Iranian forces who have attacked them without warning. This battle is still raging in the Persian Gulf.
Approximately 10 minutes ago I was informed that a large launch of Ballistic missiles had been detected in mainland China and these missiles were being tracked on a western course - given the situation in the Middle east and the possibility the Chinese had decided to launch a nuclear first strike against us or another of the nations currently opposing them I, as other European leaders, felt there was no choice but to employ emergency measures to try and prepare our nations for a potential nuclear attack - One I admit I personally believed was imminent.
Thankfully, no nuclear attack has taken place - I say again, there has been no use of Nuclear weapons.
The launch we detected was aimed at our forces in the Persian Gulf - we are still awaiting confirmation of what has happened but early indications are that this missile attack was completely ineffectual.
Despite the possibility for civil unrest and disruptions the use of our emergency broadcast system could have caused and the understandable terror all of us felt I am proud and humbled by the strength, determination and fortitude most of you have shown since the first emergency broadcast. I know as we face an uncertain future that together as a nation nothing will prevent us from achieving our ends.
This attack against our men and women in uniform aiding our allies in preventing the massacre of the Kurdish peoples by the cabal currently in power in Iran, who are now clearly being supported by the the government of the Peoples Republic of China, is a clear act of war, and one that cannot, and will not, go unanswered.
Tonight you can go to bed relieved that the worst has not come to pass, but tomorrow you should know that we, alongside the rest of the world, march to war.

Germany condemns the use of chemical weapons by part of the Iranian army, in what means a breach of the Geneva Convention, and so a War Crime.
NATO cannot tolerate those War Crimes, and so NATO forces are going to defend Kurdish population against them in the whole Kurdistan, as well as trying to take the people responsible for them to be taken before the International Penal Court.
As we cannot believe the whole Iranian population agrees with such serious crimes, we ask Iranian people to depose those War Criminals and hand them over to the IPC as a show that them, and only them, are guilty of such acts, while Iranian people condemns them ans is not going to allow them to happen again.

Paris, France: "The emergency meeting of NATO has shown a deep rift within the alliance. On one side there is the US, Germany and UK urging for action against Iran and China inside Iran. On the other side is France and the newly formed Nordic Federation, not wanting to expand the conflict. On the fence is Italy. While many of the leaders are for action, the popular opinion is against it. The result is that Italy focuses on Libya. Polish forces advance into Iran while France will keep their forces in Turkey, acting in a peacekeeping capacity between the Turkish factions and the Kurds, which was the intent from the start, and not engage in Iran. Sniffed one French spokesperson "While the 'Americans are off gallivanting about finding new people to kill, France will be doing the real work of keeping the peace that we came here to do."

-- The Inside Story - On Al Jazeera--
Today on the inside story - with NATO and Russian troops massing on the Iranian border, Chinese forces withdrawing from Iran after their catastrophic clash with NATO forces already, confirmation that the Iranian military has used chemical weapons and tensions in the region heating up fast our topic today is 'what next for Iran' - particularly after today's shock announcement by the British Prime minister that the UK had evidence the attack on Chinese shipping which caused the clash in the Persian Gulf was carried out by dissident members of the Iranian government associated with the revolutionary guard faction.
The UK has released a dossier listing the evidence they have gathered which they have made freely available to all - and I know my guests today will have had a chance to go though this already.
But the question on everyone mind is, is this a fabrication to justify a NATO attack or is the evidence true? If it is true does it give the Iranians a way of avoiding further bloodshed - and what does it mean for Iran as a whole.
Today I am joined by my guests to discuss the topic, they are...

Isfahan, Iran: Al-Jazeera and Press Trust of India (PTI) reporting:
Joint statement from Iranian president (GM: nationalist faction, legally elected), together with the leader of the moderate faction, the Indian ambassador and the UN high representative:
Iranian President says: We stand here today together in peace pronouncing the first steps to a new era. There has been enough bloodshed. Iran will comply with the UN resolution. We have made peace between nationalists and moderates. Our WMDs are destroyed, we will close our WMDs factories and invite UN inspectors. We have arrested some of the IRGC leadership responsible for the WMD attacks and the recent war and will turn over these to India for transport to the ICC in Hague. We have sent an emissary to Kurdistan to initiate a transition.
The Indian ambassador says: "India is happy to have negotiated this deal so that peace will prevail. Indian forces will take charge of the IRGC prisoners and assist the legally elected government of Iran to capture the other criminals and stabilize the country. As we speak several Indian planes carrying much needed humanitarian aid are approaching Iranian airspace where NATO and allies still have a NoFlyZone in effect. We ask that you let our planes through. These will be followed by 2 brigades of Indian airborne forces and 6 mechanized brigades as soon as they can be ready."
UN high representative says: It looks like the UN resolution will be fulfilled without any more bloodshed. I am officially asking UK, who is in charge of implementing the resolution, to stand down, for now, in light of this development.

ESA Builds Humanity's First Spaceship (Damgarten Kosmodrome, Germany): With the assistance of many European and ESA leaders, today was the commissioning ceremony of the new spaceship ESASS Freude (named after the EU anthem Ode an die Freude). The ship has been built using the newest technologies and is expected capable of long space travel and to take off/land in Earth spaceports. Its first mission is expected to be to help developing the Lunastar space station. While not without controversy due to its high development cost and its nuclear reactor power plant, that some anti-nuclear groups have said is to dangerous to land on Earth, it’s seen by most as a great achievement by ESA. The ship will fly ESA’s flag and will be registered at the Damgarten Kosmodrome.
SADC Intervention in Zimbabwe Military and security forces from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) have intervened in Zimbabwe’s civil war. Newly elected South African President Julius “Juju” Malema pushed through the humanitarian deployment at the SADC summit claiming that the situation would “only worsen with further inaction by the UN” and that the “African community of nations must not turn a blind eye to the suffering of their neighbors”.
The SADC’s relief mission entered into Zimbabwe with no serious opposition with the cooperation of several of Zimbabwe’s factions (notably the National Front, MDC, and Meikle Group) and successfully stabilized the border area enough for NGOs to provide humanitarian aid. However, skirmishes with insurgent groups and accusations that the SADC was favoring the National Front led to heightened clashes with the other Zanu-PF factions and friction with MDC. The SADC was fully drawn into the conflict when elements from the 9 SA Infantry Battalion attempted to capture the Green Bomber leader Jim Kunaka. After President Malema authorized the ‘Operation Sweep’ the South African press began to refer to the Zimbabwe intervention as ‘Juju’s War’.
The next phases of the conflict were marked by abysmal performance by the SADC and correspondingly brilliant performance by the Zanu-PF. Especially the South African air components have been severely criticized. As one Army Colonel stated off the record: “Was the Air Force forgotten by that drunkard commander?” referring to General Mlala, nephew of the South African president Malema, photographed vacationing in the French Rivera during the height of the conflict. The unimpressive performance of the air force made what should have been a quick battle into a much longer, harder and extended conflict. Despite pressure for withdraw from Zimbabwe, South African President Malema has not yet signaled that he intends to end South Africa’s intervention in the failed state.
Stability Increases in Somalia but Cost is High for German Peacekeepers (Mogadishu, Somalia) Somalia keeps normalizing its situation as the first democratic elections were held in the country since 1967. The newly German trained Somali army and police kept most major incidents out, although were unable to prevent the death of two dozen German soldiers in a multiple suicide bombing, leading to popular demand in Germany to withdraw the troops. UN, EU and OECD observers accepted the results, though some isolated cases of vote rigging were denounced. The results were a close tie among moderate Islamist party, federalists and regional parties, and pro-western parties, and a difficult time to form a coalition to govern the country is expected.

Apophis Asteroid Misses Keyhole
Houston, USA: NASA officials confirmed today that the 325m, 40 million tonne asteroid formally known as ‘99942 Apophis’ did not pass through the gravitational keyhole, a small region of no more than about 800m wide, that would have set up a future impact with the Earth seven years later in 2036. Until now this possibility had kept the asteroid at Level 1 on the Torino impact hazard scale, meaning chance of collision is extremely unlikely, but has now been reduced to a 0. On average, an asteroid the size of Apophis can be expected to impact the Earth about every 80 000 years.
Virgin Galactic Sends Manned Mission to Orbit SpaceShip Four (aka VSS Intrepid) successfully completed its maiden voyage into orbit on the sixty-fifth anniversary or Yuri Gagarin’s historic flight. Built jointly by Virgin Galactic and Rutan Technologies, “SS4 represents a paradigm shift” said Virgin Group Chairman Holly Branson. “In fifteen years we’ll likely look back and say, ‘That was a special time. That was pivotal.’ ”No one knows what private commercial orbital spaceflight might be worth. Industry experts speculate the figure at $1-trillion given SS4’s capability to land at commercial airports around the globe, operation and fuel costs roughly five to ten times cheaper than the suborbital SS2 and SS3, and the unprecedented public and national interests in spaceflight not seen since the height of the Space Race.
Rutan Technologies Chief Engineer Alan Washburn stated that “the SS4 can make the trip from London to Sydney or Melbourne in two hours” when asked about passenger service capabilities. He later joked offering up a advertising slogan for Virgin Galactic, “SpaceShip Four: for when you absolutely positively have to be there today…”. George Whitesides, Virgin Galactic President and CEO was quick to add, “the Intrepid’s fuel efficiency is many orders of magnitude better than the Concorde’s [referring to the supersonic passenger airliner retired in 2003] and unlike the Concorde, thanks to Burt’s vision the SS4 will be able to land at virtually any commercial airport anywhere.”
Haiti Stabilized, Still Volatile With the failure of the United Nations Stabilization Mission In Haiti (UNSTAMIH) and subsequent withdraw, the closure of the Toussaint Louvertune International Airport, collapse of commercial shipping to Port international de Port-au-Prince, and subsequent human capital flight (of those few that remained), the feared Haitian army, disbanded by Jean-Bertrand Aristide, has made a comeback.
“I am in charge of Haiti!” announced Guy Philippe in a speech carried by radio given in front of the ruins of the National Palace in Port-au-Prince. Philippe led a coup d’état ousting Jean-Bertrand Aristide in 2004. Unable to gain any traction in the Haitian general election of 2006 and again in 2014, the now 57 year old former police chief and Haiti’s rogue army now claim control of over 90% of the country.
Brazil Brings Peace to Nicaragua-Costa Rica Conflict The President of Brazil, Luciano Serra, stepped in after the two nations could not agree on a venue to mediate the dispute and end the armed conflict. Costa Rica insisted that the case be presented to the Organization of American States (OAS) because it was a military incursion while Nicaragua wished to refer the matter to the International Court of Justice as a border dispute. Exacerbating matters between the two nations is the presence of over 600,000 Nicaraguans living in Costa Rica, many of them illegally. Intemperate comments by Costa Rican Minister of External Commerce, Fernandez Arias did not help matters. Minister Arias said, “The Nicaraguan authorities are the troglodytes of the region, and they went too far this time trying to divert attention from their internal problems. They don’t care about risking the lives of Costa Ricans and Nicaraguans. We have to face the Nicaraguan authorities with real strength if we are to ever have a lasting peace with them.”
The agreement reached reaffirmed Nicaragua’s sovereignty over the river proper and recognizes its right to maintain navigation with periodic dredging operations. Nicaragua agreed to set up a fund to pay for any environmental damage caused by dredging or other acts and immediately cease the construction of a canal across Costa Rican territory. Both agreed to the terms to refrain from sending or maintaining any military or security forces within three miles of either bank of the river.
Nordic Council Becomes Nordic Federation (Olso, Nordic Federation) Ever since the Kalmar Union of the kingdoms of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden – reaching to Iceland, Greenland, the Faroe Islands, Shetland, and Orkney – collapsed in 1523 the idea of reinstating some sort of a supra-national Nordic state has long been out of reach dream. This is partly because Denmark/Norway and Sweden/Finland were equally strong for a long time, with no single kingdom managing to dominate, and partly because a long successive line of major powers beginning with the Hanseatic League until the Cold War opposed any attempts at unification.
The Constitution of the Nordic Federation unites Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden under a single monarch: Denmark’s King Frederik. The five countries (plus their autonomous territories of Greenland, the Faroe Islands, and Aland) retain their individual legislatures for local matters. But economic and labor-market policy are to be coordinated, with foreign and defense policy ceded to the federation.
Nordic Federation Goes Prospecting in Arctic The Science Ministry of the Nordic Federation has sent expeditions to the North Pole and surrounding area in an attempt to prove the area is a natural extension of Greenland or Norway to allow the Federation to claim oil and natural gas reserves that may be in the region. Similar claims have been made by other countries, including Russia, Canada, and the United States.
Additionally, the Federation’s A.P. Moller-Maersk (the Maersk Groups oil unit) is leading prospecting efforts off the coast of Greenland as well as into its interior while Statoil is exploring points north from Norway. It is thought Maersk and Statoil have entered a strategic partnership to use Statoil’s expertise to extract offshore oil in any arctic waters while the Maersk group (the world’s largest ship owner) will focus on transportation matters and development of any resources found in interior Greenland or directly offshore.
Formation of the Islamic Caliphate (Mosel, Iraq): The Holy Islamic Caliphate, a union of several Sunni militant factions, marked its founding in an elaborate ceremony and again declared jihad against unbelievers. The territory under the control of the Caliphate is unclear at this time but certainly includes much of Syria and the Sunni parts of Iraq which have revolted against the national government. No foreigner was allowed to attend the ceremony but according to eyewitnesses it included the beheading of numerous people declared apostates or Christians and the maiming of those declared to be thieves.
Glory to God The Caliphate has stood up to mighty NATO and its allies, an extended coalition of NATO, Saudi, Russia, Iraq and Syria! War with the Caliphate is devolving into Insurgency suppression in Syria and Iraq, which extends into 2030. The Spokesman said: ”Our warriors have had amazing success! They have stood up to massive attacks by the enemies of God and done more than a little damage right back at them. We have humbled the West more than those Paper Tiger Chinese ever did. Even if new attacks from the decadent west and its lackeys should destroy the Caliphate, it does not matter. Even if they kill us all, down to the lowest fighter, the idea and the glory that was the Caliphate will be a shining example of success for Muslims for generations to come. Allah Akbar.
Betrayal and Death Stalk Chinese Leadership In a bizarre news conference beamed live from a VIP transport plane of the Chinese Air Force that was crossing Mongolian airspace on the way to Russian airspace; Lin Liheng, the Chinese Air Force Commander lately in charge of all Chinese air units in Iran, denounced the Chinese regime before she and all aboard were killed when the plane crashed. Lin was fleeing with her family and some of her staff, proclaiming that ongoing Chinese government oppression of her Christian faith had made her decide to mis-deploy certain military units and made sure key technical and code details were easily intercepted by Western intelligence services in the recent conflict in the Persian Gulf. Lin, with pride, said she did this in an attempt to make the atheist Communist party of China pay for all the evil that it had done.
Shortly after, all contact with the plane was lost and was later found to have impacted with the side of a mountain with all personal aboard lost. Adding to the mystery, Mongolian air traffic controllers have reported that the plane had turned around and was heading back to Chinese airspace when it fell off radar contact. This follows a week of massive shakeups in the Chinese hierarchy with the Admiral of the Chinese expeditionary fleet, the Ambassador to Iran and the secretary in charge of Mid-Eastern relations and a few others either being arrested, shot while being arrested or found having committed suicide.
