US Federal Government Faces Uphill Battle: Federal agencies in the US have announced plans to start rolling back previous schemes where central government control was being weakened in favour of the various states. Unsurprisingly, conservatives and many states have reacted with cries of tyranny. Conservative activists have taken the government through various courts to block legislation and arguments between state lawmakers and federal lawmakers have become a daily diversion on television. All eyes are now turned to the Supreme court where the case of Guns’N Patriots Network v. The United States is being heard. GPN may have since cancelled it’s low rated show ‘Hunters&Killers’, featuring players taking control of a mercenary with live weapons hunting down and killing other mercs, but the court ruling is expected to test the authority of the FCC specifically and the federal government in general, to do much of anything at all. The outcome is likely to decide the the balance of power between federal and local government for decades to come.
