Results for 2045 Quick Combat Round#1

Post date: Jun 24, 2018 1:19:06 AM

The results for the first round of combat in the 2045 Turn have been posted to the RPOL site.

Looking over the results, I can sense that there may be a great desire to reinforce/withdraw forces from various combats. I have to remind everyone that the timing of when such reinforce/withdrawals are allowed to occur is explicitly at the discretion of the GM (section 10.11 par#3 sent#3). There is something which I have kind-of-sort-of always been doing, but I can see it is important to issue a clarification, effective immediately, on just what is the default action in such circumstances.

‘The default action is that in the first round of a Quick Combat, only units which the GM decrees started the Turn close enough, or are moved in as part of the player's initial written orders, may participate. In subsequent rounds, the default action it that forces will be added or withdrawn in the round after the round which is in progress. e.g. Nigeria wants to add in reinforcements after reading the results of its invasion of Benin in Round#2, these reinforcements will not arrive until Round#4'

To those of you wanting to do something other than ‘...the default action’, it is up to you to come up with a plan more impressive than “screaming into a phone, demanding that unit X be in location Y by time Z or there will be hell to pay”

You will have until June 30 1200 UTC to post to me in the appropriate threads about what your nations are going to do in response before I start Round #2.

In Round#2 we will be seeing

-Columbia invading Venezuela

-Kurdistan is holding off its invasion of Iraq

-Nigeria will be invading Togo with a small force.

-French and Canadian forces arriving to fight alongside Turkey

In Round#3 we will likely be seeing

-Turkey invading Kurdistan
