End of 2050 Turn

The 2050 is now ended. Thank you everybody, it has been quite a ride. I hope you had as much fun as I did, we could not have done it without you! With the end of the turn, the contests for the articles and puzzle have also ended. Sadly, there was no winners for the articles. Your GM will be traveling for a while starting momentarily and have very limited connectivity until March 18th. Any concerns or questions that you might have will have to wait until at least then. We expect to start the 2055 Turn some time around April 1.

Wow, we have not had such a quick turn around since the beginning of the game when turns were quick because our rules had not been written yet, so nobody could do anything and as a consequence turns were relatively simple. The rules that we will be using for the new turn will be a cleaned up version of the Rules Proposal. We will not rule out any additional changes between now and the start of the 2055 turn, but we do not expect any either. There are lots of little tweaks, changes, re-balancings, simplifications, clarifications, and loopholes closed, see section 11.1 for a summary, but the two most important are:

1) No more storing of Special Resource Units across Turns. It was already a mess, it was bound to get a lot messier as we moved offworld.

2) Putting a unique letter in the column 'In Combat ID' about which units you want involved in a combat is now required. In processing the combat for the 2050 Turn I found that using the Unit List spreadsheet was incredibly useful, it really helped to speed things along. In the Follow-up thread for your nation you must state which letters correspond to which combat that is occurring.

Remember, it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to keep the non-greyed out columns of the Unit and Facility List spreadsheets updated. If you do not keep these things updated then you cannot expect that the GM will actually carry out your orders.
