In this form you must list the courses you plan to take at the institution you will be studying at in the Summer '25, Fall '25, or Spring '26 semester.
You can update your courses prior to departure and during add/drop abroad as long as you submit an updated Course Registration Form to the CGE.
Steps to Complete Your Form
Step 1: Find the semester course list available on your specific program's website.
Step 2: Fill in each of the courses you would like to take under "Course Titles."
Step 3: Write the number of credits each course is worth. You can refer to the second page of the form to find the conversion from institutions outside of the U.S.
*You must take the equivalent of at least 12 credits abroad for full-time status.*
Step 4: If you would like the courses to count towards a KCA, please specify which category (SCI, QL, etc.) and attach a course syllabus to the course registration form. This will be approved or denied by the registrar after you submit the form to the CGE, so it does not require a signature.
Step 5: If you would like the course to count towards a major or minor requirement, please fill in the equivalent course offered at Simmons. This will require a signature from your major, minor, or department advisor for approval next to each course listed.
Step 6: If you are planning to take the courses for general education credit, you are not required to get individual signatures by your major or minor advisor next to the course. However, you need your major advisor to sign off on the bottom of the completed form. Please set up an appointment or email them to do this.
Step 7: Fill-in the total number of credits you plan to take during your semester abroad.
Step 8: Please sign the document.
Step 9: Once completed, please upload to the Studio Abroad portal for approval by the CGE under the “Course Approval/Learning Agreement Upload.” Also, please email the completed form to: cge@simmons.edu.
*The CGE then submits the form to the registrar for course approval.*
