However: if you already have an unlocked cellphone, an option is to purchase a SIM card and service plan from a provider. AT&T and T-Mobile are two service providers that offer this service.
Types of Phone Plans
Although it may have slightly higher rates, these are the most popular and convenient options for international students. They offer the same services and network capabilities as contract plans, but do not require a Social Security Number (SSN) or a hefty deposit.
