To provide a high quality academic and cultural experience Simmons partners with a network of trusted study abroad partners and international universities.  We carefully select programs that prioritize student support, ensuring that you have the guidance and resources needed to thrive while away from campus. These partnerships offer a variety of ways to study abroad, allowing you to select the location

Program Types:

• Semester Study Abroad: This is the most immersive option, allowing you to embed yourself in your host university and country while taking a full course load.  It is ideal for students looking to complete several major, KCA or KSA requirements in a global context, all while building an international network and maintaining progress toward your Simmons degree.
  
  Short-Term Programs: Our short-term options allow you to earn academic credit during the summer or January break without missing a semester on campus.  These programs are a good fit for students in accelerated programs or those with rigid academic timelines, offering a global experience that fits into a busy schedule.
  
  

• Faculty-Led Travel Courses: These programs offer a unique opportunity to travel alongside Simmons professors and a cohort of your peers, bringing your coursework to life through faculty expertise and guided site visits.  By combining traditional classroom learning with short-term international travel, these courses provide a supportive and structured environment to explore global topics while earning Simmons credit.
  
  

• International Internships-Boost your career readiness by completing a professional placement through our trusted study abroad partners.  These programs provide dedicated support and resources- including help with placement and career development-to ensure a successful experience in an international workplace.  You will build a global professional network and develop cross-cultural skills, often earning academic credit through an attached internship course that integrates your on-site work with academic reflection. Internships are available as part of some semester abroad programs or as stand-alone options during the Summer.
