Healthy Minds School Council
At Sidney Stringer we have a Council called `Healthy Minds' who are committed to improving the wellbeing of our student community.
The council is made up of 10 members; the mental health learning mentor and 9 students from years 7 to 13.
The aims of the council are:
To promote positive ways to maintain mental wellbeing.
To increase awareness of mental health issues
To educate students in strategies and resources for managing mental health difficulties.
To ensure that students in school know they will be supported if they have problems that cause them distress.
The council meet twice each half term to discuss ideas and act on decisions made.
