301 Academic Skills Centre provides opportunities for students to develop the essential academic and study skills which underpin their learning at University.

Based at 301 Glossop Road (opposite the Students’ Union), 301 provides an accessible space for students to explore and develop their learning skills. With a variety of face-to-face and online options to choose from, covering topics relating to all aspects of university study, 301 has something to offer for every student at Sheffield.

You can attend Study Skills Workshops on topics such as:

  • Managing Your Time and Avoiding Distractions

  • Planning and Delivering Presentations

  • Critical Thinking and Writing

  • Essay & Lab Report Structure and Planning

  • Dissertation Structure and Planning

  • Reflecting on Your Academic Pro

As well as 1:1 study skills sessions.
