To register for a session please login to myDevelopment (accessible via MUSE) and search for 'EFM The Sheffield Way modules 1 & 2 (all staff sessions)'.
Once you have selected a session this will go to your line manager for approval.
The sessions are delivered in person to groups of up to 20 staff and are a mix of PowerPoint presentation, interactive discussion and small group / table activity. They typically last just over 3 hours long with a break in between.
The programme is delivered in two module blocks and module 1 & 2 roll out commenced in October 2025. We expect to complete module 1 & 2 delivery in March 2026 and will start delivering module 3 & 4 in May 2026. All staff should have completed the full 10-module programme by January 2026.
Yes, all staff in all roles are expected to complete the Sheffield Way programme which has been agreed by the EFM executive and added to Training Profiles. Managers and supervisors will work with staff to ensure time is released to undertake the training.
Please complete the Reasonable Adjustments Request Form to discuss your specific requirements. Depending on the circumstances, reasonable adjustments may include smaller session size, supported sessions, tailored activities or e-learning.
Please contact thesheffieldway@sheffield.ac.uk at the earliest opportunity and rebook onto an alternative session via myDevelopment.
Once you’ve completed each module block the slides will be shared with you via a Google link. Once all staff have completed a module block, learning materials and supplementary information will be shared on The Sheffield Way webpage
All new staff will be briefed on The Sheffield Way at the EFM induction and will register to attend Sheffield Way within 3 months of them starting in post. Depending on where we are with the all staff programme roll out, new starters may attend modules consecutively or join the all staff roll out.
