What am I good at?

I really enjoy helping to improve local authority and NHS commissioning approaches and have a background in this alongside working as a care provider, a personal assistant and and a support worker. I have a really good understanding of how social care works in England and believe that better and more flexible  commissioning approaches can and do help people get better lives. I'm good at connecting people together and helping to turn theory into practice in the commissioning and social care environment.

How am I helping with the project?

I’m bringing experience of supporting people with learning disabilities from many years directly alongside my experience of helping care provider organisations and local government/NHS commissioning authorities implement Individual Service Funds, Direct Payments and flexible support change programmes.

What is important to me?

It is important to me that we continue to work to empower citizens and their families to be able to better take control of their support arrangements, in ways that make sense to them, and to help people achieve the good lives they deserve.
