WHS FreshmAn Transition Hub
Welcome Freshmen!
Congratulations, you've made it to high school! The next four years will have a tremendous impact on the direction you are planning on taking after you graduate. These years are going to be both exciting and demanding. The level of rigor and independence you will see in high school will challenge all of you in different ways. The goal in 9th grade is to ease the transition to high school and build skills and habits of mind to help you meet the challenges you will face in the future. The purpose of this site is to serve as a hub of information for your freshman year.
Important Information
Freshmen Orientation
Orientation for the incoming 9th grade students will take place on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Please have your 9th grader arrive to the UH Aud Lobby at 12 pm. You should receive an invitation via US Mail in early August.
Summer Work
Students that are scheduled for AP US History, Honors US History II, and Honors English 9 have summer work to complete before the start of the school year. Teachers should have reached out to students scheduled for these courses to review the summer work. Summer information can also be found on the Summer Work Portal.
