1. What will happen if I cheat?
- Cheating can mean a variety of things ranging from plagiarizing, to copying student work, to not following test procedures voiced by your teacher, or passing along information about an assignment.
- If you are caught cheating you will face disciplinary and/or academic consequences.
2. What will happen if I plagiarize?
- Plagiarism involves using words or ideas from another person or source without giving them proper credit.
- A common example is copying and pasting text from the internet, without proper citations, on an assessed assignment.
- You can receive academic consequences, namely a zero on the assignment and can also face disciplinary consequences.
