1. Why are there so many principals?
Every class has about 500 students that an assistant principal is responsible for working with. The goal is to have a point person for each grade level. Dr. Weber oversees the entire high school as the Head Principal but Mr. Márquez is the head principal of the 9th grade and the lower house.
2. Is there a difference between the upper and lower house?
Technically no. We think of ourselves as one high school but the Lower House focuses on the 9th grade experience which helps our freshmen transition into a place that emphasizes growth, development and a true sense of belonging.
3. Where can I find Mr. Márquez?
The best place to start is in the lower house office. If I am not there, just email me and I will connect with you as soon as possible.
4. Why do we have security guards?
There are six security guards- three of them our Wilson employee and the other three are from a contracted agency called KRE. Their job is to monitor traffic patterns in the parking lot, note suspicious behavior with students, report what they see to the office, and escort guests and students to different parts of the building.
They are to be treated with respect.
5. Why do we have greeters?
There are greeters in the upper and lower house. There job is to greet guests when they enter the school. They also monitor the main entrances to both the upper and the lower house.
They are to be treated with respect.
