This section is to highlight available camps in the area (including ones not directly affiliated with the school), summer conditioning schedules, open gym schedules, weight room schedules, and official starts for fall 2024-25.

There is a Mustang female athletes group that is working out from 9:00 to 10:30AM on Wednesdays and Fridays in the main weight room. All Mustang female athletes are welcome to join.

Merritt Island High School Cheer will once again be hosting a Mini-Mustang Cheer Camp!!!

Early Registration payments end May 23rd. Payments will still be accepted at the front office (Summer hours 9am-3pm). Multi-Family discounts are available - $100 for 2nd/3rd child…) Brevard County teachers - $95 per child.
(NO REFUNDS AT ALL, NO EXCEPTIONS. CONSIDER IT A DONATION)
Payments can be dropped off at Merritt Island High School or mailed to MIHS Cheer, 100 Mustang Way, Merritt Island, FL 32953. **Make checks payable to MIHS Cheer**
Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt and bow to remember their Mustang cheerleading experience, as well as receive in-depth instruction in dance, cheers, chants, jumps, games and crafts.
When: July 10th – July 12th
Time: 9am – 1pm
Where: Merritt Island High School gymnasium
Hosted By: Merritt Island High School Varsity and JV Cheerleaders
Cost: $110 by May 23rd / $120 after May 23rd / $150 Day of Camp (Cash ONLY)
Food: Snacks will be provided for the week, but please bring a water jug each day. **FRIDAY we will have a pizza party!!!
Dress: Shorts, T-shirt and sneakers.

Merritt Island HS Boys Summer Basketball Team Tryouts
Tuesday, May 28th from 230 - 5pm in the gym.
Wether you do or do not make this team, it has no bearing on your ability to make the JV or Varsity team during the regular season.
You must be able to commit to the team for the month of June. Please look at the calendar attached. Coach Densberger will expect you to attend all practices and team camps. If you have a conflict, please talk to him as soon as possible. His room is E-118. You can also reach him at this email: densberger.zachary@brevardschools.org.
We will play in the following team camps:
UCF Team Camp - June 8-9th
The Villages Buffalo Team Camp - June 14-16
Eckerd College Team Camp - June 21-23rd
