Our group's goal is to create just, peaceful, and inclusive societies and get rid of crime, violence, corruption, and any other unlawful activities.
Keegan, Alana, Amelie, and Josh
To help share their learning, each SDG group created a formal presentation to present to the parents.
LEVELS OF ACTION:
LEVEL 1: In this action level, each SDG group took action to spread awareness in school.
LEVEL 2: In this level of action, each group took action outside of school with another organization.
LEVEL 3: Each student took individual action in their community or partnered with another student in their group to complete this level of action in support of their SDG.
We gave out flowers to the school. We gave out sunflowers to 3rd-6th grade, the national flower of Ukraine, and poppies to K-2nd which represents peace. Together it represents peace for Ukraine and the whole world. We did this because Ukraine is currently suffering from Russian invasion, and we want spread awareness about their suffering.
We created pamphlets about SDG 16. These pamphlets included facts, pictures, and ways you can help regarding our SDG. We went to a lawyer's office to pass these pamphlets out. Along with passing out the pamphlets, we got to have a first-hand experience of a fair and just institution by watching the traffic court.
LEVEL 3 ACTIONS
I made an article about SDG 16 and posted it on her dad's business website and social media websites. I did this to spread awareness about the importance of SDG 16 and why it should be completed.
-Amelie
I created yard signs, and these yards signs had 2 QR codes on them. One directed pedestrians to the official United nations website to learn about SDG 16. The other directed pedestrians to a website where they could donate to international law enforcement. I did this because hate crimes against police are a big issue and if we don't support the police, the world will become more violent.
-Josh
I created a video about SDG 16 and posted it on social media, while drawing a meaningful picture that represents peace. I did this because peace is necessary in this world and if we don't get peace the world will become too chaotic.
-Keegan
I made pins to give out in the car loop for law enforcement appreciation week on May 12-16. I did this because law enforcement is so important but many people forget about it so she wanted to may a gesture of thanks to police officers.
