Our goal is to help make cities and communities safe, inclusive, and sustainable.
Tyler, Peter, Amelia, and Eli
To help share their learning, each SDG group created a formal presentation to present to the parents.
LEVELS OF ACTION:
LEVEL 1: In this action level, each SDG group took action to spread awareness in school.
LEVEL 2: In this level of action, each group took action outside of school with another organization.
LEVEL 3: Each student took individual action in their community or partnered with another student in their group to complete this level of action in support of their SDG.
Our group created an animation on Google Slides about the UN and our SDG and created a voiceover for the animation. We then sent this video to all of the teachers in our school to play for their students.
Our group went to a beach cleanup at Ocean Avenue Park by the Melbourne Beach City Hall. We walked the beach and road and picked up trash that would harm our environments. We also made a native butterfly garden at the Melbourne Beach Library.
LEVEL 3 ACTIONS
I used Scratch to create and publish a video game about SDG 11.
-Amelia
I created a poster about why you should build with engineered wood and hung it at my parents' real estate office.
-Eli
I created a website about SDG 11 and how to spread awareness about it. Then I created a QR code for the website. I made flyers with the QR code and hung them in multiple stores.
-Tyler
I presented to the Satellite Beach City Council on possible EV charger locations and informed them of grant opportunities to help fund them.
