The Sixth Form votes for a Student President and Student Vice-President every year. These positions are chosen from Year 12 and take up post at the beginning of Year 13. In addition to the President and Vice-President, there are also roles for:
Charity and Event Representatives (up to 5 positions)
Student Ambassadors (up to 5 positions)
Student Wellbeing Representatives (up to 5 positions)
Student President
Vice President
Student Ambassadors are volunteers from Year 12 and 13 who assist the Student Presidents in their work. They meet weekly with the President and Vice-President and a member of the Sixth Form staff.
Well-being reps are volunteers from Year 13 who are passionate about improving the well-being provisions for their fellow peers. They undergo training with a non-profitable charity organisation, PROJECT:TALK, to become mental fitness ambassadors.
The Sixth Form prides itself on the amount of charity initiatives it is responsible for every year, not least the Jailbreak in the autumn term which often raises thousands for local chairities alone and is a big part of the Steyning community.
