Each year, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation awards 150 college scholarships worth $20,000 to high school students across the United States through the Coca-Cola Scholars Program.

About The Gates Scholarship
The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to exceptional student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.
Selected Scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance to earn a bachelor’s degree, that is not already covered by other financial aid and the Student Aid Index, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or the methodology used by a Scholar’s college or university. Costs covered include tuition, fees, books, and food and housing, and may include additional personal costs.
TGS also provides Scholars with various online support services designed to help them excel in their degree programs, graduate, and make a successful transition to their chosen careers. These include career services, mentoring, leadership development, wellness, and knowledge building.

Brief Info: The Giants Community Fund is excited to share the following scholarship opportunity.
The Bay Area All-Star Scholarship Team (BAASST) is a partnership established in 1996 by the San Francisco Giants, Golden State Warriors, Oakland A’s, San Francisco 49ers, San Jose Earthquakes and San Jose Sharks. Each participating sports team has contributed to the scholarship program in a collective effort to assist Bay Area high school students achieve goals of higher education.
The Bay Area All-Star Scholarships will be awarded to six successful students residing within the Bay Area’s nine counties. Each scholar will receive an award in the amount of $5,000 and will be recognized at team ceremonies. The San Francisco Giants’ BAASST territory consists of all public and charter high schools in San Francisco and Sonoma County.

The We Rise LGBTQ Scholarship awards one time gifts annually to selected applicants in the San Francisco Bay Area who can share their stories of where they have been, and more importantly, where they aim to go. The Superintendent’s 21st Century Award will be granted to six graduating SFUSD seniors who exemplify a particular strength in one or more of the characteristics of the SFUSD Graduate Profile. All SFUSD seniors are eligible for this award regardless of citizenship status. Dr. Vivien T. Thomas Scholarships will be awarded to African American students attending high school in San Francisco and Alameda counties. These scholarships are given based on a demonstrated financial need and in recognition of academic and civic achievements during the student's high school years. This is a one-year non-renewable award; a minimum of $500. Members of the Black Caucus Scholarship Committee will select semi-finalists for interviews on the basis of the General Eligibility criteria. The selection of the final scholarship recipients is based on the personal interview and oral presentation of the semi-finalists.

The YMCA's Youth Empowerment Fund awards over $100,000 annually in mini-grants supporting projects initiated and led by youth citywide. Young people in San Francisco can apply for funding up to $10,000, three times a year, to fund their unique ideas and vision addressing important community issues and more.
