We are excited to share that our 2024 scholarship application is now LIVE! This scholarship is open to rising college freshman, sophomores, and juniors who are enrolled in or are planning to be enrolled in the following programs or majors:
Architecture, interior design, or landscape architecture
Industrial design
Graphic design, illustration, or animation
Urban design or city planning
In addition, we are looking for students who:
Are under-represented in design and have financial need for additional scholarship funding
Demonstrate high potential in their chosen academic / career path
Grew up in, attend / attended school in, or otherwise have ties to the San Francisco Bay Area or California
Attended at least 2 years of high school in the U.S.
Scholarship award amounts range from $2,000 to $10,000. Students can fill out the application on our website. The deadline to submit an application is April 7, and awardees will be notified in early May.
A few more notes about the application:
Each application will require a short letter from one recommender
Students will upload multimedia of design or visual arts project(s)
Finalists may be asked to submit high school and/or college transcripts

Women with careers in technology run MAGIC and mentoring is carried out on both technical and personal subjects, including work/life balance, the role of girls in our society and how that is changing, how to avoid the technology stereotype, etc. During the session, the mentee explores her interests in STEM under the guidance of her mentor and works on one or more STEM projects. She presents her work at the end of the session to an audience consisting of other mentees, mentors, parents and family members, and MAGIC staff.
