Students wishing to enroll in Work Credit must simultaneously be enrolled in Employability Skills for Work Credit. The course allows for classroom learning to complement their work site learning component. Students will study work habits and principles that will empower them to be an asset to the business and industries in which they will be employed. In addition to soft skills needed for success in the workplace students will complete career research/job acquisition research and analyze labor market and employment trends. The course will improve their chances for successful employment as young adults and help solidify their career interests. Students will have the opportunity to earn the Wisconsin Employability Skills Certificate upon successful completion of the course and their work based learning experience.

Co-requisite: Employability Skills for Work Credit
Seniors wishing to participate in Work Credit course must also enroll in Employability Skills for Work Credit and attend an orientation session the first day of school during work release hour. Students are required to maintain a passing grade in Work Credit in order to have an hour “off campus” in their schedule. Students are required to have a job on the first day of class and maintain a job throughout the course.
