Students will also work collaboratively painting the set for the musical. Anyone considering an art related field should take this course.

Techniques include cutting, forming, forging, stamping, riveting and cold connections, and sanding/polishing to create pieces like pendants, bracelets, and key chains. Additional supply purchases may be necessary.

Independent Study Art

Prerequisite: At least one introductory art class and one advanced art class.
Independent Art is an advanced level art class. This course is offered to students who have completed both an introductory level art class and an advanced level art class. It can be offered for any of the mediums SCHS currently has. Independent Art allows students to tailor the curriculum to their interests and abilities. Students will work with the instructor to design and propose their own projects and curriculum. A minimum of five proposals and projects will be required over the span of the semester. Students will be expected to work independently to complete the projects and to complete a portfolio of their work as their sixth and final project. This course can be repeated.
