Training Series Description:
SESC's PBIS Tier 1 Training Series begins with an exploration meeting to review readiness and participation requirements designed to help districts and schools to be able to fully implement and sustain a system of PBIS. Training begins with leadership to help prepare the administration and internal coaches to guide implementation. A school-level implementation team will be formed to attend two days of training to learn to implement the core elements for PBIS at Tier 1 (see graphic below). Finally, select district personnel will attend an additional day of training focused on Data-based Decision Making and a "train the trainer" on Classroom Practices to allow schools to target selected practices that they will bring back and train their staff on.
